A French Institute event in NYC, Korean body skincare, & British tailoring comes to 8 US cities

Three Things
1 ● French Institute Alliance Française “Young Patrons” event in NYC
2 ● Luxurious & effective body skincare products from Korea
3 ● Steed holds trunk shows across the US

1 ● French Institute Alliance Française “Young Patrons” event in NYC

The French Institute Alliance Française (aka “FIAF”) will hold its annual party for “Young Patrons” on May 30th.

FIAF is a hidden gem in New York City’s Upper East Side. Founded in 1898, FIAF offers language classes, film viewings, live performances, wine tastings, gallery exhibitions, and more. It’s a cultural home for the entire Francophone world — not just France itself.

At the Young Patron event, there will be a DJ, cocktails, and light bites. You can mingle with other Francophiles. You may even rub elbows with members of FIAF’s board of trustees, which comprises corporate executives and cultural luminaries.

Don’t worry: you don’t need to speak French.

Get your tickets at the link below. They are offering early bird pricing until this coming Tuesday, May 14th — tickets will go from $35 to $45.

2 ● Luxurious & effective body skincare products from Korea

This is not a paid advertisement — we just love the product.

LILIS is a new body skincare line from Korea that advertises itself to be “as luxurious as it is efficacious.” Their products fulfill this aspiration.

LILIS launched with two products

Currently, LILIS offers an “Instant Peel” and a “Firming Serum.” They look great. They feel great. It’s a perfect gift for your wife or girlfriend (or for yourself).

You’ll earn some street cred for being a head of the curve. K-Beauty is following closely in the wake of K-Pop, though not quite in the zeitgeist yet.

You can find it in stores in New York City at Sage & Sound on the Upper East Side or at Whiteroom in Williamsburg. You can also purchase LILIS products online.

3 ● Steed holds trunk shows across the US

British tailor Steed will come to 8 US cities this June. If you’re curious about bespoke Savile Row clothing and trunk shows, this is a perfect opportunity.

Known for their “drape cut” that gives jackets a fuller chest, Steed offers both bespoke and made-to-measure services.

As usual, menswear writer Derek Guy has a great post on X about Steed and their upcoming trunk show.

We publish Trunkville Digest most weeks. (Forgive us for any missed weeks — we like to enjoy life, too!)

If you enjoyed this issue, please recommend us to a friend.

See you next week.
